Getting Help During the GameYou can access the main 4000A.D. help file at any point during the game by hitting the F1 key. From the main game screen, hit the Escape button to get a list of some quick commands you may find useful, including:
Grid Lines: Turning the grid lines on is useful for narrowing down an enemy ship's point of origin. The ship's starting coordinates (ie. A5, D3) are given to the left of the ship on the warp path, and with the grid lines on you can see which planets are in that sector. By noting how far along the warp path an enemy ship has gone, you can guess where it might be headed and prepare accordingly. Once you have researched the warp scanner, however, you will have a much better idea where enemy ships are headed. |
